Why is my PurePro® blowing dust?

If the dust is only blowing from the lower hose (next to the right wheel), go straight to step 5.

1. First, see if the filter tray is missing or incorrectly installed. If it’s missing, you can order a replacement here:

2. The post-motor filter (found under the filter tray, only accessible when the vacuum is reclined) may be missing or installed incorrectly. You can replace it here:

3. Check the dirt container. If it’s full, empty it. Also, check that the dirt container is positioned correctly and the lock lever is turned to the right.

4. Take a look at the hose. Make sure that hose wand is fully seated in the base. Also, check the hose for holes and cracks. If you find any, you’ll need to replace the hose. You can do so by clicking here: \

5. If the dust is only coming from the lower hose, check it for clogs. The lower hose can be found next to the right hand wheel. Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on back of the vacuum and straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or lay the vacuum out flat (you’ll need to push the handle release pedal twice) and roll it on its side with the lower hose towards the top side. Remove the hard plastic hose wand base (held up by a single screw) to expose the lower hose. Look through the hose for obstructions. Push a broomstick through lower hose to unclog. The access plate (the black plastic plate over the brush roll) can also be removed to gain better access to the lower hose. Note: A coat hanger is not recommended to clear a clog as it may damage the hose.
