Why is the carpet sensor flickering at times or red on my vacuum?

Answer:

-Check to make sure the lens on the sensor is not dirty. To clean the lens , detach the twist and snap hose and gently wipe the clear lens area using a lightly dampened soft cloth. Allow time for the lens to dry before using your vacuum. If you continue to experience difficulty with this, please take your machine for inspection to a local BISSELL Authorized Service Center.
