My Deep Clean Premier® has no Spray

Answer:
No Spray to Floor

First, be sure you are using genuine BISSELL formulas in your machine.

If you have no spray at floor, check the following:

A) Check for Liquid in the clean water tank.

If there isn’t any, add 5 ounces of BISSELL formula (fill the included measuring cup twice) into the bladder and fill the remaining with hot tap water.

B) Check the tank lid and be sure it is properly attached to the bottom tank.

To attach the lid, secure the latches on the sides.  You should be able to lift the tank by the carry handle.

C) Make sure the tank is properly set onto the base of the unit.

1.  First, with the tank removed, make sure the knobs that secure the front nozzle are locked sideways at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions.  

2.  Then with the handle reclined set the tank on the base.  If it doesn’t sit securely, retry.  The cap & insert need to connect into the inlet on the base.

D) Make sure the tank is seated properly and the gasket is in place. 

Check the bottom of the Water Tank to make sure it has a red gasket attached and facing outwards.  The collar should tighten around the insert, if not push past the gasket and tighten.

E) Make sure the machine hasn’t lost its prime.

          Turn power off and back on.  Wait one minute then press the trigger.

F) Is there spray thru the hose?

          If you have spray thru hose, the pump is good.  Check for spray to the floor.

         

If there is no spray thru hose, try the following:

                   ► Remove the tool on the end of the hose and see if hose will spray. If the hose sprays when the attachment isn’t connected, then the tool is clogged. Clean out the spray-tip on the tool with a clip.  The tool may require replacement.

                   ► Stretch the hose out and give it a few light tugs to release any kinks in the internal water supply hose. 

If there still isn’t any spray to the hose, please take the machine to a BISSELL Authorized Service Center to have a technician check it.  You can locate one by clicking here:  http://canada.bissell.com/support/product-support/service-centers

*If the machine sprays through the hose proceed as follows:

G) Remove the water tank and the front nozzle.  (The spray tips are part of the nozzle assembly)

Run warm water through the small black filter inlet screen(s) on the underside of the nozzle.  (*Cleanshot® models will have 2, other machines will have one) 

Water should easily flow through to the small black spray tips.  If not, remove spray tips and soak in hot water or scrub with a toothbrush.

H) Re-attach the handle:

If other steps fail to fix the problem, remove the handle completely and re-attach. Once the handle is re-attached, plug your machine in and turn the power on and re-attempt to spray.

If your machine has no spray thru hose, but it sprays to the floor:

A) Make sure the machine hasn’t lost its prime.

          Turn power off and back on.  Wait one minute then press the trigger.

B) Is there spray thru the hose?

          If you have spray thru hose, the pump is good.  Check for spray to the floor.

If there is no spray thru hose, try the following:

                   ► Remove the tool on the end of the hose and see if hose will spray. If the hose sprays when the attachment isn’t connected, then the tool is clogged. Clean out the spray-tip
