Low suction or poor pick-up may be due to a clog in the vacuum cleaner. If you notice a change in the sound of the motor or a reduction in the spinning action, check for clogs.
First, remove and empty the dirt tank. Then, remove the inner cyclone. Grasp the cyclone, twist in a counter-clockwise motion to unlock, and then pull straight down. While you have the dirt tank and cyclone removed, check the suction inlet for clogs as well.
If you are still experiencing loss in suction, check your hose and intake areas for possible clogs. Grasp the hose grip and lift to separate it from the suction opening. Check for a clog in the base of the hose. Next, release the Twist n’ Snap hose from the vacuum by turning it to the left. Then, straighten the hose and check for clogs, using a long, narrow object such as the crevice tool or a broomstick. Do not use sharp objects such as clothes hangers, as these may puncture the hose.
With the hose removed, check to make sure there are no clogs in the upper hose inlet area.
