Lift-Off Bagless - brush will not rotate
What is causing the brush not to rotate on my Lift-Off Bagless vacuum?
ANSWER: If the brush is not rotating on your Lift-Off Bagless vacuum, make sure the brush switch is not in the "off" position.
The brush will not rotate when the machine is locked in the upright position. There is an internal micro-switch which turns the brush motor off when the unit is locked and upright.
Remove the brush cover and check the rotating brush and belt. Replace the belt if it is cracked or worn and clean any string or debris from the brush roller. Turn the brush by hand several times and if the brush is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
